“I love color. I want to draw all the time, I like to draw.  I close my eyes and I want to draw a tiger,  I want to draw a zebra. when I draw I’m smiling. Colors make me happy. I love the bright colors of new markers. I like to draw things that move people. I care about people, my heart is broken when people are sick. I like to make people happy with my pictures.”

Oranit Solomonov (b. 1967) was born Tel Aviv, Israel. She is currently working in painting and drawing, with a focus on highly decorative patterns in representations of pop singers and animals. Her work has been featured at the Saint Louis Outsider Art Fair and the Outsider Art Fair in NYC.

In 2025, Solomonov’s work was also included in A Progressive Ensemble, a group exhibition highlighting artwork from eight national progressive art studios, presented by Art Explorers, and hosted at the Mendocino Art Center in Mendocino, CA.
