KARLEE SALAMONE

karlee copy.jpg

Karlee Salamone (b. 1974) is an artist from King of Prussia, PA. She works at the Center for Creative Works Wynnewood location. She paints and draws intuitively, alternating between canvas and paper, adding dense layers of marker, paint, and oil pastel. Salamone plays with scale in her work, often starting on one side of the surface with a big shape such as a flower or circle, and making consecutive repeated shapes in smaller and smaller form. Salamone’s work has been featured in the Philadelphia Museum of Art Design Store, High Tide Gallery (Philadelphia), and other local venues.

“I like all kinds of artwork. I like making small paintings. I feel good. I paint flowers and houses. My favorite color is red. I like showing my artwork to my mom. I want to hang my art in the Doctor’s office! Yahoozie!” - KS
