JULIAN ROACH

CCW Wynnewood_Portraits_071.jpg

In his works on paper, Julian Roach (b. 1989) combines focused linework with bold, dense areas of color in a rainbow palette. His distinctive drawings combine a delicate mark that often includes the date and favorite phrases in his unique, spindly handwriting. Roach recently began pursuing textile work, in which he experiments with sculptural beading and tufting techniques.

Roach’s work has been exhibited at High Tide Gallery in Philadelphia, and was included in a group exhibition at the Woodmere Art Museum curated by Mariel Capanna. In 2023, he was commissioned by Temple University’s Institute on Disability program TechOwl to create promotional imagery.
