BROOKE HECKLER

“Hello.

Triangles, animals, rainbows.

I am making people, all kinds of people.

When I am drawing I think about eating.

I like working here because I see my friends, I’m making all kinds of colors, and I like tracing, making lines.”

Brooke Heckler (b. 1994) has worked at the Center for Creative Works, Wynnewood studio since 2016. Heckler is a multi-talented artist, effortlessly translating her colorful, geometric style across fiber arts, painting, and drawing. Heckler is also a musician, and has performed live at venues such as CCW’s Art Hub pop-up, and The Free Library of Philadelphia’s main branch. Heckler lives in Collegeville, PA.

In 2020, Heckler’s rug tufting work was featured along with several of her peers in RUGLAND, an exhibition at ArtYard, in Frenchtown, NJ. In 2022 Heckler was included in Hello it's Me, an exhibition of CCW artists curated by the students of Kristin Lindgren's class, at the Haverford College VCAM Create Space.
