BENJAMIN RILEY

Benjamin Riley (b. 1966) makes minimalist, abstract drawings and paintings that are largely geometric. With a careful approach, he builds beds of color in shape through repeated application of line. He often creates self-portraits featuring a circular body and long linear arms and legs. Riley lives in Philadelphia, PA and has been working at the Center for Creative Works since 2018.
Riley has exhibited his work locally, at Haverford Friends Meeting House (in the 2019 exhibition Bright Light, Big Chickens), as well as regionally, in Baltimore, MD, where he was part of Cordially Invited at Make Studio in 2019.
