Join Center for Creative Works and Pop! Pop! Pop! Records for a listening party to celebrate the digital release of their newest album, A Story of Wonderland.

A Story of Wonderland documents a collaboration between CCW musicians (Owen Ahearn-Browning, Tyree Jennings, Joey Piergiovanni, Tim Deaton, Danielle Stokes, Carl Trunk, Clyde Henry, and Olu Ojo) and community musicians in residence Mervin Toussaint, Mollie Rose, Danielle Gershkoff, and Joe Perullo. Musicians in residence collaborated to create the vision of CCW artists through a series of Zoom workshops.

This event will also celebrate the launch of three collaborative visual art projects developed in Zoom workshops this Spring:

-
An animation project with resident artists Adam Lovitz and Ashley Wick, featuring CCW artists Mary T. Bevlock, Lydia Thompson, Allen Yu, and Vinetta Miller
-
A comic book project with resident artist Anna McGlynn, featuring CCW artists Norman Dixon, Tamisha Williams, and Beth Barsky. A limited edition zine chronicling this project will be available for purchase.
-
And a printmaking project with resident artist Lindsay Buchman, featuring CCW artists Paige Donovan, Jacob Berger, Joyce Moseley and Lillian Moseley. A limited edition risograph print folio of work from this project will be available for purchase.
Our celebration will begin with a short presentation of choice ideas from a community brainstorming session that posed the question: how do we make our music communities more inclusive of people with developmental disabilities?

These residencies were made possible thanks to a generous grant from the Pennsylvania Developmental Disability Council.
