Muhammad "Agi" Alsyrawan creates compositions composed of small, discrete drawn elements clustered together across the page. Shapes range from abstract doodled swirls to tiny representational sketches such as a rug, a flag, a comb, a vase, and a small face. Gathered together they create a dynamic tableau that is both an energetic jumble of forms and a mysterious, dream-like narrative.
Alsyrawan has worked at Center for Creative Works since 2017. He lives in Philadelphia with his family.
